Rescue-Tastic!

IDCS Instructor Angie Kerridge certified 4 new PADI Rescue Divers at Crystal Dive today. It was a challenging 3 day course, and the student divers, Justine Macintyre, Richard Bond, David Jackson and Steen Thomsen all worked extremely hard which paid off as they passed the Rescue final scenarios with flying colours - many eyes were watching the progress of the team, in particular Rich, who dealt with every rescue scenario with only the use of one hand...

Crystal Dive Hitting The Heights!

Staff Members of Crystal Dive were lucky to be invited to a preview of Koh Tao's latest non diving, sports activity - the Flying Trapeze! Yesterday 8 staff members from Crystal Dive took to the air to road test the new trapeze set up at Sairee Beach. The objective was to fly upside down towards another trainer, lock arms, and be caught by them...

2nd consecutive Asia Pacific award for Crystal Dive Resort!

In April 2008 Crystal Dive Resort became the first dive center on Koh Tao to win a major scuba diving industry award within the Asia Pacific region when Platinum Course Director Matt Bolton received the ‘Diver Training’ award from the PADI Asia Pacific Vive President Henrick Nimb in Singapore. Shark!

This morning the Crystal Dive Divemaster Team sent the morning dive trip to the Deep dive site of Chumphon Pinnacle. The wind has strong in the mornings recently causing a slightly choppy ride out which deterred the smaller dive boats off from travelling so far out. As we pulled up to Chumphon, with every diver ready for the entry, a cry of “Whale shark” was heard from the surface causing a frenzy of excitement whilst fun divers and students stepped into the blue ...
