"International" Matt..!!

Once again, our very own "Platinum" PADI Course Director Matt Bolton has been globetrotting, spreading the IDC gospel. Matt has just returned from Oman having been invited to conduct the first ever IDC in the Middle Eastern state.

PADI IDC on "The Rock"

With Februarys IDC programs coming to an end it was that time again for the PADI Instructor Examinations. Crystal Dive fielded an extremely strong, and diverse group of candidates, coming from the UK, New Zealand, India, Russia, Canada & Finland! The program was conducted by Crystal Dive Resorts two Platinum PADI Course Directors Matt Bolton, and Justin Mayers and once again Crystal’s candidates top scored in all areas…

Great start to 2011 for Crystal IDC..!!

The first IDC of the new year is over, and there are 5 newly qualified, super enthusiastic PADI Instructors at Crystal Dive Resort. Following on from a superb 2010 Matt Bolton’s Crystal candidates once again demonstrated how thorough their training has been, posting the best scores of any of the dive centre’s overall on the IE! Monsoon Madness doesn’t affect Crystal’s 100% IDC/IE success rate!

Another successful Instructor Development Course finished today with Crystal Dive producing 7 new PADI Instructors. The program was conducted during some of the heaviest rain fall Koh Tao has experienced in more than 3 years..!! Although the poor weather and diving conditions made the course more challenging, to conduct than most, it did not dampen spirits, nor prevent PADI Course Directors Matt Bolton & Justin Mayers continuing with their perfect pass rate for 2010...

PADI Instructor Specialty Training

Yesterday saw the commencement of this month's MSDT Program at Crystal Dive conducted by PADI Course Director Justin Mayers. Adam Green and Mike Steele chose to take Instructor level specialty training in Deep diving, Enriched Air, Digital Underwater Photography (DUP), Wreck diving and Naturalist. We conducted the Deep and Enriched Air training dives Laem Thien. The candidates where presenting skills from the diver level courses they will be teaching after completion of their Specialty training...

Mid October saw the end of another very successful PADI IDC/IE at Crystal Dive Resort. The IDC (Instructor Development Course) is the penultimate step to be coming a PADI Instructor and consists of as two week program which develops and assess potential New Instructors is the intricacies of teaching recreational Scuba Diving. The candidates are schooled in delivering classroom presentations, Confined water (or swimming pool) presentations and Open Water presentations...
